The house

A club with one rule at the door

A harbour is where you wait for the weather to turn. Linen is what you put on once it does. The name is the whole idea of the place.

Linen Harbour keeps a register of private boats, private cars and small aircraft across 45 countries. It is short because the rule at the door is a number, and we read the catalogue again on every build so nothing stays inside on old figures.

There is no membership and nothing to join. The operator pays us a commission after you book and your price is the same either way.

The doorman

Five hundred dollars, fifty verified reviews, four and a half stars. 517 of the 25,237 we measured clear all three.

II

The purser

Every price, rating and review count is read from the catalogue at build time. Nothing on this site is typed by hand.

III

The harbourmaster

45 countries on the register today. A market stays while it has stock worth the crossing.

The clerk

Every photograph carries its author, its licence and a link back to the source. A picture without them is left out.

Before you book

What is Linen Harbour?

A shortlist of private travel experiences with the reasoning attached. We recommend and we do not arrange, so the booking happens on the operator site at the operator price. 517 experiences across 45 countries are on the register today.

How does an experience get on the list?

It has to clear three tests, all three, with no editorial discretion and no way to pay for it: above 500 dollars, at least 50 verified reviews and a combined rating of 4.5 or better. 517 of the 25,237 experiences we measured clear all three, which is 2.0 per cent. The method is published in full.

Are the prices on this site final?

No. Every price is the lowest published starting price at our last catalogue read, which was 8 August 2026. It moves with season and availability, it is not a quote, and the operator page is where the figure you pay is set.

Do you earn anything when I book?

Yes, a commission from the operator, paid after you book. It never changes what you pay and it plays no part in the three tests. The same booking made direct costs the same.

Can you arrange the trip for me?

No. There is no adviser, no itinerary service and no file kept on you. The desk answers questions before a booking, slowly, and it says so up front. What the desk does and does not do.

Every price, rating and review count on this page was read from the supplier catalogue on 8 August 2026 by the Linen Harbour desk. The figures on this page are based on 25,237 experiences measured across 135 markets. Prices are indicative starting prices and are not quotes. How we choose
